Philosophy Argumentative Essay Topics - The Many DangersYou should not take a philosophy argumentative essay topic lightly. In fact, it will take you much longer to prepare than you think. There are many very good reasons why an intelligent student should avoid philosophy essay topics which are derivative of others. They will be forced to utilize many of the same logical fallacies that you have been making use of in your own essay.
One reason for this is that there are very few examples of bad philosophy argumentative essay topics. The real debate will be over how many examples there are. I can honestly say that it will be about one hundred percent fewer than what you will find in the first part of this article. First, we will talk about some of the commonly used logical fallacies. It is always a good idea to have your own examples of these to back up your arguments. If you do not have such examples, then you will have to resort to looking at them on the internet. Second, you should have a list of every argumentative essay topic. This will give you a very clear sense of where to start and where to stop. You do not want to go over arguments which you have already used. You should have a list which you will be able to go over every time you are arguing. Third, you should consider whether you are going to be adding arguments which are based on a false premise. By having false premises, you will simply be spinning an argument which has no connection to your topic. This is what a plagiarist would do. Fourth, if you ever find yourself arguing with a student who seems to be better than you, then you should consider not using argumentative essay topics which are based on a false premise. If your argument is based on a false premise, then you are nothing more than a brute force mind reading who is using blind logic. For instance, if someone is trying to make a case for peace, you may think that they are going to attempt to make a case for war. Finally, the most common logical fallacy is the appeal to authority. Someone might suggest that a particular theory is the best theory, but there is absolutely no need to use such an argument. Such an argument is not based on any objective criteria and has no basis for truth. It is something that is made up by political and ideological zealots.
