How to Write an Essay Topic That Fits in With the Topic of the ClassWriting an essay topic for college, particularly for a class that will be a discussion paper, requires an effort to make a decision on a topic that is relevant to the topic of the discussion. One can choose to focus on a specific area of study, such as political science, or general studies, or economics. Perhaps a popular movie will inspire a topic in a more creative form, like film noir.
One of the problems in writing an essay topic is choosing a topic that will make one feel most comfortable. So how does one decide on a topic that will generate interest in the reader? An intelligent essay topic will follow an original line of thought and be thoroughly researched. One needs to be prepared to use all of his or her intelligence to make a convincing argument based on well-researched facts. There are several other elements that are equally important in a challenging essay topic. The theme of the topic should be one that will allow the student to discuss the topic with purpose. It should also be a topic that will inspire the student to take the subject matter further, not to mention make the discussion fun. Any class should feature an ample amount of 'fun' in order to motivate the students to learn more. A very important aspect of writing an essay topic is finding the right topic to discuss and to be able to talk about it well. The topic needs to be one that is appropriate for the topic of the class and should not be one that is focused on some particular academic organization. In other words, one can't use 'the' institution as the focus of the essay topic. The topic must be relevant to the topic of the class. While students may be able to discuss a topic, which may be relevant to their own course, but once the student moves on to the next topic, that topic becomes irrelevant to the topic of the current class. Therefore, a student must be able to use a topic that will continue to be relevant to the topic of the class in order to remain engaged in the class. Some topics may be outside of the subject of the class, such as a hobby, or a subtopic of the topic, but any topic should be used within the class. For example, a student might choose to discuss a general topic, such as television or love, while a student who takes algebra or physics might want to choose a topic related to those courses. This avoids the assignment becoming too general. A student who takes algebra might not be able to write an essay on car parts if he chooses to focus on TV. A good essay topic is one that the student can go on to the next level with. A topic that is too narrow is not only boring to read, but it is also incredibly boring to think about. A good topic is one that will spark interest and curiosity and will continue to be interesting and fun to read.

Philosophy Argumentative Essay Topics - The Many DangersYou should not take a philosophy argumentative essay topic lightly. In fact, it will take you much longer to prepare than you think. There are many very good reasons why an intelligent student should avoid philosophy essay topics which are derivative of others. They will be forced to utilize many of the same logical fallacies that you have been making use of in your own essay.
One reason for this is that there are very few examples of bad philosophy argumentative essay topics. The real debate will be over how many examples there are. I can honestly say that it will be about one hundred percent fewer than what you will find in the first part of this article. First, we will talk about some of the commonly used logical fallacies. It is always a good idea to have your own examples of these to back up your arguments. If you do not have such examples, then you will have to resort to looking at them on the internet. Second, you should have a list of every argumentative essay topic. This will give you a very clear sense of where to start and where to stop. You do not want to go over arguments which you have already used. You should have a list which you will be able to go over every time you are arguing. Third, you should consider whether you are going to be adding arguments which are based on a false premise. By having false premises, you will simply be spinning an argument which has no connection to your topic. This is what a plagiarist would do. Fourth, if you ever find yourself arguing with a student who seems to be better than you, then you should consider not using argumentative essay topics which are based on a false premise. If your argument is based on a false premise, then you are nothing more than a brute force mind reading who is using blind logic. For instance, if someone is trying to make a case for peace, you may think that they are going to attempt to make a case for war. Finally, the most common logical fallacy is the appeal to authority. Someone might suggest that a particular theory is the best theory, but there is absolutely no need to use such an argument. Such an argument is not based on any objective criteria and has no basis for truth. It is something that is made up by political and ideological zealots. |
